This bookcase gives this illusion of scale and sizing that is so closely seen in Surrealism.
Surrealism is a cultural movement which began in the 1920’s and is recognised mostly for its artwork and writings. However in more recent times surrealism has begun to enter its way into modern interiors.

At first glance, you think that the book shelves have been stretched almost to the point that it seems that it’s about to fall over. This movement is brought out through the inclined internal shelves and divisors which follow a curvilinear path creating the leaning effect.

Basing itself on the element of surprise combined with unexpected juxtapositions, the bookshelf leans and sways as if there’s actual wind inside of the room, causing a sense of motion and movement.
